Nara began with founder Stephanie Reichenbach’s love for the desert: its calm, beauty, and the feeling that time slows down when you’re surrounded by dunes. She wanted to create experiences that felt real, thoughtful, and respectful of the place that inspired her.
What started as a small camp named after her four sons – Neil, Adam, Ryan, and Adrian – naturally grew over the years. One project led to another, and before long it became a family of unique desert experiences, an events and catering team, and Lady Nara, a dhow offering relaxed, elegant dinner cruises along the Dubai Canal.
From the desert to the sea to the city, Nara keeps evolving, but the heart of it stays the same: creating moments that feel meaningful, warm, and beautifully simple.
Before Nara existed, Stephanie Reichenbach was a private banker in Switzerland, and a mother of four, with a deep love for nature, travel, and simple, meaningful moments.
Over time, that love grew into a desire to create something very different from the world of finance: places where people could slow down, connect, and experience the desert in an honest, beautiful way.
What started as a small private camp soon took on a life of its own, evolving into a collection of destinations that now span the desert, the sea, and the city.
Today, Stephanie leads Nara with the same curiosity and intention that sparked it, guided by creativity, a respect for the environment, and a belief in experiences that bring people together in a genuine way.
Sustainability has been part of us from the very beginning, not as a statement, but as a way of working and thinking.
Our camps follow a strict zero-waste approach, are partly powered by clean energy, and operate without single-use plastics.
We serve filtered water, source ingredients locally whenever possible, and continuously look for ways to lessen our environmental impact.
For us, caring for the desert means ensuring that every experience leaves a lasting memory and not a footprint.
